Reviews and Ratings <br />
This hotel, while situated in a beautiful mountain setting, has potential but falls short in several areas. The scenic views are a major plus, but the accommodations need some significant updates. The complimentary breakfast adds value, though the dining options could use improvement. Overall, it’s a place I’d consider returning to mainly for its location and staff, but there's a clear need for enhancements to truly elevate the experience.
The hotel provided a mix of rustic charm and friendly service, but I experienced some issues that left me frustrated. While the location is ideal for accessing outdoor activities and the staff was attentive, the cleanliness and condition of the rooms could definitely use some improvement. Additionally, the dining options were limited during my stay. Overall, it has great potential, but I hope to see better management and facilities on my next visit.
I had high hopes for this resort, given its great location and rustic charm. The beautiful setting really stands out, with scenic hiking trails nearby. However, the rooms left much to be desired, with cleanliness and comfort at an all-time low. The service in the restaurant was disappointingly slow, despite the quality of the food. It feels like this resort has a lot of potential, but some significant updates are desperately needed.
I had high hopes for my stay at the Retreat At Charleston Peak, but there were definitely some letdowns. The renovations are in progress, which is a good sign, but the overall lack of cleanliness and the outdated facilities made for a rather uncomfortable experience. While my room was reasonably nice and the restaurant up the road provided a better dinner option, the dog smell in the stairway and the issues during the wedding event really tarnished our experience. I can't say I would recommend this place as it currently stands.
I had a decent stay at the resort, enjoying the beautiful mountain views and the complimentary breakfast, which exceeded my expectations. However, the hotel felt a bit dated, and I encountered a few cleanliness issues that could use attention. Overall, it offers good value for the price, especially considering the outdoor activities available nearby.
